Fish Fry Recipe | Spicy Juicy And Crispy Tawa Fish Fry


A crispy and crunchy fried fish recipe. Very soft and moist from inside and crispy from outside. Flavor enhances when accompanied with chutney, onion and lemon.

PREPARATION TIME : 10 minutes + 2 hrs marination

COOKING TIME : 15 minutes


INGREDIENTS :

  • Fish fillet (any choice) -1.5 kgs / 3 lbs
  • Salt as per taste
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder - 1.5 tbsp
  • Coriander powder - 2 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp
  • Lime juice - 2 tbsp
  • Mustard oil - 3 tbsp


PROCEDURE :  

  1. Clean fish fillet by rubbing with salt. 
  2. Add salt, spices and lime juice. Mix and coat fish fillets uniformly with spices. Cover and let rest for 2 hours.
  3. After 2 hours heat mustard oil on medium heat in a pan.
  4. Put fish fillet one by one. Flip immediately. Fry from one side. Flip and fry from other side till crispy on both sides.
  5. Transfer to a plated lined with tissue paper.


TIPS :

  1. Adding lime juice will keep fish moist from inside when fried.
  2. Flip fillet immediately when added to pan. This will prevent fish from sticking in pan.
  3. Tissue paper absorbs extra oil.
