INGREDIENTS :
- Milk powder - 3 cups
- Sugar - 1/2 cup
- Ghee - 1/4 cup
- Milk - 1 cup
- Food color - 1/8 tsp
- Almonds - 1/4 cup chopped
- Pistachios - 1/4 cup chopped
PROCEDURE :
- In a pan on low heat add ghee and wait for it to melt completely.
- Add milk and let it turn lukewarm.
- Add milk powder and keep stirring till dissolved completely and no lumps are formed.
- Add sugar and dissolve. Keep stirring till the mixture thickens and starts leaving pan.
- Transfer half of the mixture in a bowl. In the remaining half add food color. Keep stirring till mixed uniformly.
- Line a square pan with parchment paper. Transfer the colored mixture and spread uniformly in desired thickness. Top with remaining mixture and spread uniformly.
- Sprinkle chopped almonds and pistachios and press with spatula.
- Let it rest for 2 hours or completely set.
- Cut it into desired shapes.
- Milk Powder Burfi is ready to serve.
TIPS :
- Keep the flame low all the time to avoid milk burn.
- Keep stirring else lumps will start forming.
- Let it set completely before cutting.
